About the Artist

Zara studied Textile Design at Chelsea College of Arts before developing her own practice that blends West African weaving traditions with contemporary abstract composition. She sources natural and reclaimed fabrics, often hand-dyeing them with plant-based pigments before cutting, layering, and hand-stitching them into large-format wall pieces. Each work is unique and irreproducible, the result of accumulated decisions about colour, texture, and pattern that unfold organically over weeks. Zara's work has been shown at the Crafts Council Gallery and acquired by several London hotels as statement pieces.
