About the Artist
Rohan Kapoor has been documenting the architectural transformation of Stratford and the Olympic Park since the London 2012 Games. His large-format photographs explore the tension between East London's industrial heritage and its rapid regeneration, capturing the textures, colours, and details of buildings in transition. Working with a Phase One digital medium-format system, Rohan produces images of extraordinary detail that reward viewing at scale, his large-format prints can measure up to two metres wide and reveal details invisible to the naked eye. He studied Architecture at the University of East London and brings a planner's understanding of urban space to his compositions. His work has been commissioned by the London Legacy Development Corporation and exhibited at the Building Centre and RIBA.
