About the Artist
Maisie discovered risograph printing while working at an independent magazine in Bermondsey and immediately fell in love with the process: its deliberate imprecision, the way ink sits on the surface of the paper, the unexpected beauty of overprinted colours. She designs her own images, a blend of illustration, typography, and observed urban detail, and prints them herself in runs of 50 or fewer. Each print is slightly different from the last. Her subjects are the people, signs, buildings, and atmospheres of South London, rendered in the riso palette's distinctive fluorescent and earth tones. Maisie's prints sell out quickly and she exhibits at independent art fairs and design markets.
