Freya Anderson's abstract photography is an exercise in pure visual pleasure. Working from her studio in Notting Hill, she creates images using coloured gels, prisms, reflective surfaces, and intentional camera movement, transforming light itself into the subject. Her palette is deliberately warm and optimistic, drawing on her background in textile design and her love of colour theory. Freya studied Textile Design at the Royal College of Art before turning to photography, and her work retains a tactile, material quality. She has created bespoke colour-matched series for restaurants, hotels, and corporate lobbies, and her prints are specifically designed to work as ambient visual elements in busy spaces. Her work has been shown at The Design Museum, Serpentine Gallery, and London Design Festival.
