About the Artist
Felix studied Botany before retraining as an artist, and the scientific sensibility never left him. His linocuts are made on large blocks of lino carved with fine gouges over many hours, producing prints of unusual detail and tonal range. He draws directly from specimens and field observation, often spending time in the Oxfordshire countryside before beginning a new block. His prints are produced in small numbered editions, sometimes with hand-applied watercolour. Felix exhibits with printmaking societies across the UK and has work in the collections of the Oxford Natural History Museum.
